Building a customer web app that families can trust in high-stress moments required transforming complex Smart Stick signals (vitals, activity, battery, and location) into a calm, understandable experience. The platform needed near real-time updates and time-critical emergency alerts while remaining usable for caregivers with varying digital literacy. It also had to stay fast and stable across mobile networks and low-end devices, without compromising privacy and security.
The Solution
Developed a mobile-first, accessibility-friendly web platform that acts as a family “care control center.” Real-time updates are delivered via WebSocket with graceful fallback for unstable connectivity. The UI prioritizes clarity and action: a status dashboard, patient profile, vitals/activity trends, live location and safety context, alert and emergency workflows, device health monitoring, and a Care Circle for multi-caregiver role management with RBAC. Security and privacy were enforced through secure authentication patterns, controlled data visibility, and end-to-end protected data transmission.
